Sosuke Aizen is a fictional character and major figure in the anime and manga series Bleach created by Tite Kubo. Aizen Sosuke is the captain of the 5th Division when first introduced, though has betrayed Soul Society and has become the primary antagonist of the series. Aizen is a soft-spoken intellectual, accented by glasses during his time as a Soul Reaper captain. While he appears to be very kind to his subordinates, he cares very little for them in truth. Aizen is an extremely potent combatant, well above most captain-level Soul Reapers. While the full extent of his power remains unclear, he implies that he has reached the limit of his Soul Reaper power in all four forms of Soul Reaper combat: swordsmanship, hand-to-hand combat, footwork, and kido.
