Prince Vegeta is a fictional character in the Dragon Ball manga, written and illustrated by its creator Akira Toriyama. Vegeta makes his debut appearance at the end of Dragon Ball volume 17 of the manga as a primary antagonist; or Dragon Ball Z, episode 6 of the anime adaptation. Vegeta's character drastically changes as the series continues, developing from a primary antagonist, to an anti hero and eventually to a major protagonist by the end of the series.
